What am I doing?

Oct3020096:30 p.m.

So I am taking myself back to 13th April 2009 I remember watching the London Marathon intendetly with all the respect in the world for the tens of thousands of people running/walking/crawling the streets of London. It is something that you can proud of and thats what made me apply. I had already tried getting into the run through a ballot place the year people without success but I was willing to keep trying.

Luckily for me i got in on the 2nd try. At the start of October I recieved the magazine from VLM with the word 'CONGRATULATIONS' at the bottom. I felt excited to get the chance to run, although this probably lasted a couple of hours until someone kindly translated marathon to 26.2miles for me. Obviously I knew the distance of a marathon but the word 'marathon' somehow sounded better to me in my head compared to 26.2 miles!

So here I am, taking my first steps in training for my first marathon. I've only done 10k runs before this (that is some leap) but with 5 months 25 days left i'm got time on my side..for now.
