I caught the last 45 minutes of a movie last week about these 3 guys that ran across the Sahara desert. So many thousand miles in 111 days.

Then Ben and Linda gave me this DVD called Running on the Sun, a documentary about something called the Badwater 135, an ultra that goes through Death Valley and some of the ugliest and hottest terrain on the planet.

At this rate I shall start the London race with the worlds biggest inferiority complex and quit before reaching the first rest stop, er I mean aid station.
