I can, can't I???!

Nov18201112:57 p.m.

Hi all

This week has been bit of a down week and I am starting to have doubts about whether I can actually do this! My training is non existent at the moment which isnt helping and I am starting to panic that I am falling behind not with the marathon training program as that doesn't start until mid December, but 'my' back to running program. Havent been gym/out for a run this week as few things going on/have happened and only ran 2 times last week. I got convinced to join a Spinning class at gym instead and the verdict was: hated it! I was knackered after 10mins! Which has made doubt creep in about my general fitness.

Received details yesterday of the first training run for the charity I'm raising money for and its this Sunday 8am! Unfortunately I am home alone this weekend so cant go as no-one will look after children for me. Think 7.30am is too early for most people to have my two descend on them all bright eyed and bushy tailed, rearing to go! Am gutted as know this would be the boost I need although I was worried about the distance they're planning on running!

I know this is a blip and I WILL pick myself up, just been a crap week and all I can say is: Poo, bum, piddly tum, drawers! (something my father-in-law says, makes my two laugh each time).

Sorry for the moan my next post will be more positive I promise! x

  • Keith_L 'Hi what charity are you running for - not Havens by any chance? You can do it and you will. You have time. Just focus on getting some routine and teh rest will follow. Its not easy but itis worthwhile' added 18th Nov 2011

  • claireenee 'Funny enough Keith it is! Are you a local???!!! I am gutted to miss the first one as I am also going to be missing the next one in December as we're out the night before and know I will not be any fit state to talk let alone run!' added 18th Nov 2011

  • Keith_L 'Yeah I have run for Havens a few times - the training runs are great and really supportive - all levels and speeds. Hopefully you will be able to make the ones in the new year. I cant go on Sunday either as doing Luton.' added 18th Nov 2011
