Last Long Run

As it being Easter, moved the Sunday long run to Saturday. This time, I took enough gels with and actually managed 19km on a 500ml bottle of double strength iso fuel mix and 2 gels. Bare in mind that with my 102kg, I need more energy than average Joe. Had a 5 min pitstop at 19 and did another 7 before the weather and my legs got the better of me. It was a good new route I found with no hills! Most of the route was very muddy from all the rain of late but it will be better in the summer I guess. Well, just under three weeks now to the VLM and I guess I'm ready as I'll ever be. Never managed to get that long 35km run under the belt as the Nike coach had planned for me! In fact, the longest run I've done so far is around the 25km mark. Nearly went under 100kgs the other day but now Easter treats have got the better of me! Still, off work for a week so I'm hoping to get plenty og training in this week as long as the back niggle doesn't get worse.
