catching the monkey

Oct2520108:46 p.m.

A funny old weekend! And true to form the last two sessions of the week went ok 6miler Saturday followed by 4 Sunday. At this point I could say that on my route I came across deer grazing in the wood, Mr. Fox ran alone side me for a mile or so and all was peaceful the bird were singing it was great....but this would be a load of rubbish! Boring old street plodding for me both days. Wish I could tart up my running adventure, but I can’t grey roads and houses street lights and the odd car. So 23miles done for this week soon be catching that monkey. plus my goal hit now for week 3.

The rest of Saturday was spent watching Ellen play hockey normal Saturday result. They got beat 0-1 this week, last week it was 0-7. So they are getting better? Bumped into some old hockey pals who tried (without much luck) to make me play the odd game! Far to old for all of that stuff but thanks.

Then onto the joys of DIY, no thanks! But I was told I must..a long story but the short of it is like this, some foster kittens in our care got trapped behind a false wall in our lounge! Don’t ask!! So the wall had to come down to get them out bless them. Some major work needed to be undertaken anyway; cables channeling walls for the TV, new false wall to go up and new wall paper & painting to be done. So not much really. Made a start, biggest dirtiest job will be the channeling of the wall which will be done next week. Most of this week was preparation and tea drinking (very important stuff).

Bit of a lazy Sunday after Church, family round for dinner, board games and a nice bottle of red...lovely

Enjoy your training this week
