Time Off

Does any one else find it difficult to keep up with your training when you have a break from work, I have a week off at the moment and I have been busy redecorating and I find my training lacking because I am to knackered at the end of the day, I went for a two mile run on thursday morning but today I havent done any training.
M y diet has also gone out of the window, I find I cant keep the regieme that I have when I am at work, hopefully I will make it to the gym tomorrow and make up for it.
I am just going to have to stop taking time off work, mind you my two mile run was a nice change, it included some small hills, nothing to strenuas, just enough to increase the heart rate.

TISM 'You have to regard heavy decorating sessions as 'cross training'..., but can't find a good excuse on the eating front, so you'd better make that gym session tomorrow a really hard one...!!!! Have a good weekend however it goes.....' added 12th Sep 2008

SuperCaz 'Yep. I pack so much into my time off that I rarely have time for the exercise. But decorating is hard work so I'm sure that you have earnt some of that extra food. My database says: Painting - 74 cals/hr Plastering - 284 cals/hr Wallpapering - 144 cals/hr' added 13th Sep 2008

batesey23 'I can't recall having any time off for a while, cos the kids and house are always there, but when they are off school then all my good intensions go on their own holiday! If you are going to count my upcoming holiday as 'time off', then I doubt very much that I will stick to the routine, mind you, I am going to Cornwall where there will be cream teas, cornish pasties and probably gale force winds, so I will no doubt stay routed in some sort of eatery rather than getting my trainers out! Well done on the 2 miler, see how easy that is tripping off your tongue now 'oh, you know, popped out for a 2 miler on Thursday morning, nothing too strenuous' !!!!! Bet you didn't think you would be saying that at the beginning did you?? Keep it up, we'll be calling you 'Super Tel' before long!' added 13th Sep 2008

emmteeyess 'Well - as you found out Thursday morning - run first then decorate. Or nip out while the paint's drying! And looking at SuperCaz's all knowing database - it's all exercise anyway! Cheers, MTS' added 14th Sep 2008

Muffs 'I have the same problem. It's breaking your normal routine. Now I write down at the begining of the week when and what training I will do. It makes it easier.' added 16th Sep 2008
