My name is Josh. The 2007 Chicago Marathon was my introduction into the world of Marathon training. What an experience! For the first time ever, the event was stopped due to excessive heat. I was able to finish in 05:05:03 and (aside from the 1 fatality during the race), couldn't have been much happier with the outcome.

Meet Darian. Darian is 8 years old and has just started 3rd grade. He loves swimming, playing drums, drawing and just exploring the world around him. In April of 2006, Darian was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment to combat the disease.
Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under 20. The form that Darian has, Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), is the most common type of leukemia in children. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society supports the treatment and research of blood and bone related cancers in people like Darian and is currently assisting Darian's family with his treatment.
