back on track

Its been a while since I up dated but hay .
Ive been on the bench for a little over a week , after my last long run 18 miles , I hurt like Id not hurt before ! It was a tough run very windy, running up hill into the wind ..... not much fun (I know Ive said different before) I also wore my new trainers which I thought Id run in enough but glad to have made these mistakes early enough to recover. My back was so painful even lifting my foot to put it on the clutch peddel was painful .
An emotional wall also seemed to be erected right in front of me, nearly embarressed myself by crying because I was finding a real short run too much.
All is now looking brighter, advice from someone who knows is always good to listen to, he told me rest and more rest and ibuprofen and rest and use the old trainers they have enough left in them.
well Im glad to say Im back running , 4 miles yesterday in the quickest time yet , this has spured me on and I know if I take things easy and not demand too much of myself I will enjoy the day and finish the race and want to continue with this running lark . Alls calm in the fran camp..... well it is today
