Ive got up early today so I get an early breakfast so that I can go for an earlyish run, well thats the plan. Im now wondering the wisdom of such a thing. Ive eaten and now waiting for my breaky to go down but not feeling all that well, I think my body is trying to have a cold because I have that horrid faceache and general pants feeling. The question is do I still run ?
Ive just found my love for running again after losing it for a bit. Ive been far too hung up on how fast Ive been going that I forgot why I was running.
Let me explain a little further.
A friend of mine started running whilst I was doing my marathon training earlier this year to give me some company and encouragement during my training. So amazingly nice !!!!! He has done so well lost loads of weight and now has a place for London 2011, awesome for him and am so pleased for him. The only thing is what has happened on the way is that he tells me how fast he runs, his mile times and how hes going to train for a sub 4. I then stopped feeling encouraged and instead felt like Im rubish..... howd that happen.
but no more !!!!! I stopped focusing on my Garmin and started to focus on enjoying the run, this meant slowing it down so I was comfortable, what a resut! ? Yep Im a bit slower but am now able to pick my distance up again but more important is the smile on my face, that and my excitement over my next challenge.
any way all thats not helped with today, maybe a little run would be ok
