still running by frans

still spinning out from the VLM , unbelievable ! I really did run it and still all emotional about the whole thing , just been reading other peoples stories about the day and Im blubbing all over again.

I think Im liking this running lark , Im off to check out the local running club tonight as I thought it would be good to keep going now Ive started!

I managed to get my name down on the ballot for next year and was thrilled if not shocked when my closest friends did so as well then had the front to say that thier momentary laps of sanity was my fault.

Im also planning to run a half on 1st aug all being well , want to work on my speed now (or lack of it) not that Im bothered about being slow but it gives me a chalenge to pick up my pace and try working a little harder , even shocked myself by ordering a garmin and am even more shocked about the excitement I feel about using the said gadget. Im so not a gadget person but hay I so wasnt a runner !

Im looking forward to having people to run with , I find I do better with a buddy , it pushes me to do better , all those long miles alone thats real tough and knowing this Im so going to make sure I run with my friends during their training. It wasnt unitil I experienced all those people cheering me on at VLM that I realised just how amazing it feels to be encouraged, oh man blubbing again!
