10 MILES!!!
Oh yes...am I happy? Hell yeah. Have reached double figures at long last.
It was a horribly, cold morning when I set out but at least it wasn't frosty.I decided against using my Ipod for the first few miles because it was so quiet and peaceful running along the country roads.
6 cars,3 deer, and 1 empty tin of Quality Street later and I had reached back home at the 6 mile mark. The plan was to stop quickly for a stretch and a drink and then head off again. I felt really good actually which surprised me but it was probably down to the fact that I paid attention to what I ate and drank the day before!!
So headed off again along the dual carriageway which is always a bit daunting with giant trucks whizzing by....it also amazes me the amount of drivers who pick their nose
. And quite sad to see the amount of rubbish that folk dispose of along the road including a few bottles of orangey liquid...which I'm damn sure ain't juice!
It was baltic along here and I felt my bum getting numb...well I didnt actually feel it ...it just felt like it had gone missing. I had to stop at 8 miles for a big stretch.I'd had a bit of niggly knee and the cold didn't help it at this stage.
Even though I had 2 miles to go home it WAS THE LONGEST 2 MILES YET! Urgh, I had to stop looking at that bloody Garmin...
And then I made it home.Hurrah!!!!!! I am happy because if I look back at this blog to July 2009...I managed half a mile!! So there...it does work...
I felt like I could go on too..which is great because I KNOW I can do more and I've just gotta be patient.

Happy running xx
