25th January - Injured

Jan2520129:33 a.m.

Hi all,

Well basically I am struggling with exercise at the moment, due to turning my ankle just over a week ago while at my BMF class, I was just running through the woods and I must have been distracted for a moment and went over in what must have been a hole or a rut. I tried to run  it off as only 10mins or so of the class left, but when I got home couldn't put any weight on it at all. Ended up checking it out at A&E but after 4 hours of being there and an x-ray was just determined a bad sprain

I had the week off of work as was quite tender and also went down with a really heavy cold (yep - that cheered me up no end!) and back now -I have manged a couple of gentle turbos and done some weights while off but nothing major - this week have got to the gym and done 2 gentle sessions on the cross trainer but not a lot else. Ankle still tender when walking to and from work but manageable. I am missing the exercise already and just after meaning to get  a good start to the year this happens!! The last 2 days been looking through all the running events that I may want to do, and maybe start planning another Marathon later on in the year! As long as I recover soon.

I am off to the National Television Awards tonight, sponsored by one of my travel partners. Should be a good night - seems only fair not to decline when I can't be doing gym anyway!

Hope everybody else is running a lot more than me and all is well
