A GOOD START TO MARCH

EVENING ALL,
We are well into march and its been a good start, last week which was week 5 of my marathon training, which started with a 4 mile recovery run, then tuesdays club session was a tough one started with a 2 mile warm up then the speedwork session was 4 x 2k's god knows who thought of them but i know they were tough my splits were 7:27 7:31 7:31 7:29 followed by a welcoming 2 mile warm down
wednesday was a slow 5 miler then on to thursday was a 8 mile club session with a 1 and half warm up then 5 mile tempo 34:56 and 1 and half mile warm down, 2 days rest ahead as got first half marathon of year down in llanelli, So down to llanelii we go on a cold morning for a 9am start finished with a PB of 1hr 26:34 which was beyond my belief lastyears time was 1hr32:40 so a good chunk off that, my mile splits were 6:34 6:37 6:42 6:35 6:37 6:39 6:42 6:46 6:44 6:50 6:35 6:30 6:30, think ull see how happy i was in photo below 
Into week 6 with a 4 mile recovery run yesterday, then tonight was a club session which was a speedwork session of 8 x 800m with 200m jog recovery inbetween with splits of 2:55 2:55 2:57 2:57 2:53 2:55 2:53 2:53, which im happy with as legs felt a bit heavy after the 3rd 800 but stuck at it and felt good then after the 6th 800!
