Another week done and here we go again 16 weeks to go

Evening all,

               Another running week over and its been a good week too with no rain, love the cold but the rain really get in the way.

Started week off with a local XC race last sunday 5 mile race put and back loop got a new pb of 31:05 which i was over the moon with done 11 for the day with race, 2 mile warm up and 4 mile cool down.

Done 4 mile slow recovery run monday evening with club training on tuesday we done 3 mile warm up followed by 4 x 800 and 4 x 400 this was last week of them and to be honest found them quite tough after sundays race, the club do speedwork for month then change it think we got mile reps to look forward to in feb.

Wednesday was a easy day with 20 min x-trainer follwed by core strengthening exercises and lots of stretching in gym 

Thursday was club training with 2 mile warm up then the winter loop of 5.2 mile which everyone use to do a sort of tempo run so we all start off in different time intervals and all try and finish together to do warm down of 2 miles done loop in 34:32 (6.42 avg)

Friday was another recovery run of 10 miles on way home from work, get dropped off on journey home in kit and run home from there.

Saturday was a total rest day didnt do a lot at all

Today was long run day 7 of us from club done 14.5 miles today out at 8 and it was baltic and we didnt warm up til about 4 miles in after a good mile of climbing.

Its 16 weeks today to the edinburgh marathon so plan kicks in from now dso time to get head down and put the required work in.
