I am fully realising that this marathon malarky is all in my head. The head is the biggest battle to overcome. I have become completely paranoid about becoming ill before marathon day and have started to look at anyone with a sniffle with complete horror. So when after teaching 1 lesson today the worst headache I have had in a long time arrived I started to panic.

Who knew that all I needed to do was to run! I struggled through today low on energy and when I picked Tom up from the station we swapped seats and I slept on the way home! I got in and went straight up to bed complaining that I 'must be getting ill'!

However I started to see blue sky shining through and knew deep down that I'm not ill and would feel worse if I didn't run. So Tom in solidarity (who is also sobering up with me!) agreed to come out with me as well. The last time we did this it didn't go well but I was feeling so negative about running tonight I was extremely grateful to have some company. This time 'couple running' worked much better as I convinced Tom to run at a steady pace and we both enjoyed. Maybe this will become a weekly habit!

So running blew the cobwebs away......some marathon day nerves are starting to build. I am even starting to pack my kit bag ready! I am feeling more positive about my fundraising. I think I am up to almost £1000 now- banked more money this afternoon so another cheque to be sent to Sense plus the £70 I have made on ebay.
