I must be going bonkers!!!

Mar2920101:25 a.m.

As a few of you may have realised i have got my starting line all muddled up and i'm actually starting from the red start line! Whoops! I quite often read numbers and letters back to front so hence the mess up!  I'm very happy to be in red as my running club buddie who is the same speed as me is also in red! Whoop! Only 3 weeks 6 days! Thats so scary!

On the subject of running I was due to complete a 15milers sunday with a fellow running club bud however at mile 9 I stopped to stretch my hip out as it was so tight, when I started up again my knee cap went ping and oh my the pain was horrid! I managed to walk to loosen the joint and eventually managed a very slow trot but had to pull out at 11.5 miles! Im so gutted that it went and its still giving me gip. I tried an ice bath after watching Eddie Izard Marathon Man and I have to recommend them! The knee was fine all day yesterday and my muscles are all fine but after a nights sleep the knee has reared its ugly head! I think another ice bath is in order! I really hope it gets better by the weekend as i have my last 20 miler planed before the taper! urgh!!! Stress

  • glen_b 'I haven't dared try an ice bath (or a cold bath). Take it steady with the knee, don't want to do it lasting damage at this stage. My leg felt bad yesterday so I didn't run!' added 30th Mar 2010
