Im an emotional wreck! whats happening to me?

Mar3120103:21 p.m.

My word I am a total emotional wreck at the momentCry. I just found myself blubbering at someone's blog, there was nothing emotional about it but i couldn't help it! I have never been one to cry, I really don't like it but at the moment i am finding it really hard to keep on a steady level minded ground! What's up with that! I'm putting it down to all this running and being extremely exhausted. On the recommendation from all you peeps and my running club buddies i have rested my knee and cannot feel any twinges at all. I have a 20 milers planned for good Friday! This will be my last long run before the marathon so lets hope I get back to my usual chirpy self! Ah easter weekend I can finally catch up on some much needed sleep, i might even banish my husband to the sofa as he wakes me up at stupid o'clock! hhhhhhuummmm sounds like a great plan!Laughing

  • ClareVR 'Oh don't, I cry at everything at the minute, I was set off by listening to 'SLAM' by Pendulum this morning, now what the heck is that about!? Bank Holiday rest will do us all good. I banished fiance to kitchen on the futon last Saturday night as I was working Sunday and could not cope with his Saturday night drink induced snoring - it was worth it! Good luck with the 20m. • ericaredfern 'Me too! Am crying at the slightest thing! Finished my long run last weekend in tears. No reason for it at all (except I suppose I had just run a long way and was very tired!!). Good luck on Friday.' added 31st Mar 2010

  • Suziewee 'Its the exhaustion, I cry at anything too! You'll feel much better once your 20 miler is done and you can get on with tapering. Then start the blubbing again half way up the Mall!!' added 31st Mar 2010

  • onthefloor04 'That would be tiredness, dehydration and marathon terrors kicking in, don't worry it will pass, it happens to us all. Just imagine yourself turning right at big Ben seeing the 800m to go sign, the crowd going tonto then the last turn and there's the finish line just a few hundred yards away - arms aloft and you're there...oh look i've set myself off now :0)' added 1st Apr 2010

  • glen_b 'God, I don't cry much and you lot are all going to be setting me off soon, what on earth is wrong with everyone? Must be mileage, nerves, tiredness. I almost shed a tear at something on the TV the other day, and it was nothing football related, most unusual for me......' added 1st Apr 2010

  • STUBLACK 'someone pass the tissues. I've heard it's quite common to cry at the end of a marathon, probably due to relief or pain. I'd say you are a likely candidate. (after my marathon last year I just threw up) Enjoy the 20 miler tomorrow, hope it's a Good Friday for you' added 1st Apr 2010
