Well after popping home at lunch time to drop off some bits and bobs I realised there was a nice BIG red envelope sitting on the cooker! huummmm whats that I though....... oh its a marathon mag......cool...........flicked through pushing letter to one side...analysed the route..........looked at letter again...............BAM.............there it was my runners number 45304!!!...............heart stopped working...........sit down..........OH!.............s*** i'm actually in the marathon in just over 4 weeks! I have no idea what though I had been training for! The number hit me like a brick wall! Now im over the fear I'm starting to get really excited now! Not sure how long that will last as the days are not any where near as long as i would like and my speed is pants but im going to give it my all on the day! Also after searching and searching and asking a few people how they knew what zone they were starting at I have finally found that its the Blue Start! Fingers crossed Blue is my colour!
Good luck guys hope you get your number soon and dont have the reaction I had!

STUBLACK 'No going back now, it's real and it's going to happen. 45304 seems like a lucky number. I assumed I was in the Green start as there was green writing on the logo on the letter (I guess yours is blue) ' added 24th Mar 2010

RDR 'With that number are you sure you aren't a Red Starter? The easy way to tell is, if you got in through the ballot you're Blue, if you got in through a Charity place, you're a Red. If you're a Red, see you at the start! ' added 26th Mar 2010
