Easte Monday - Snow
Mar2320084:13 p.m.
I didn't know what to expect this morning. Despite the snow the outrun was quite pleasant, with the wind not seeming to cause too many problems. I felt a little bit tired and sore at about half-way, as I made my way up the gentle slope from Slaugham to Handcross. After that I was OK, though when I turned into Grouse Road for the long run home the temperature seemed to have been turned down by 10o C. I was very glad to finish and get back into the warm. Thanks to the water stop volunteers. This time exuberantly manned by extrovert supporters. You cannot have too much encouragement. Very nice herd of deer spotted from Grouse Road, a welcome bonus which warmed up my frozen bones.
Not many of these left now.
