MARRAKECH

Quite a few people from the running club have booked to go to Marrakech for either the Marathon or Half Marathon at the end of January. Had a word with hubby and decidedwe would go along as well. Flights hotel and half marathon place organised so really looking forward to it. Haven't been to Marrakech so it will be nice to run somewhere completely different. Also it will be much warmer there to do one training run for London!!!!
Training is going ok - ran Friday and Sunday and did spinning last night. Zumba tonight then run on Wednesday. Weather has turned so much colder though think I'll need to dig out the long running pants!!!
Still can't believe I actually got a place in the ballot!! and I'm still not looking forward to all the training over the winter months!!!!

SAD NEWS
Heard today that the boy that collapsed doing the Kilomathon died. He was only 25 - must be devasting for his family. Luckily that doesn't happen too... -

Killer-mathon more like. Mind you an afternoon in town shopping followed by a Dinner/Dance in the evening was not the best preparation for 26.2 kms!!!!... -

Yesterday's plan had been to do just 4 miles in preparation for Sunday's Kilomathon but ended up doing 6 miles in very windy conditions!!! I am dreading... -

Firefly123 'Wow! A HM in Marrakech. That sounds fantastic. Make sure you bring back some lovely cooking spices from the markets there.
