Went to the track today to try and get back into yasso training. Wasn't too optimistic about the amount of reps I would manage as hadn't done any real speedwork since end of October. Thought if I managed 3 I would be quite happy.

Did 4 laps warm up then started the 800m pace work - planned to try and do 800 m in 4 mins (not that I am looking to do a Marathon in 4 hours Pete - there is no way that would be possible) Managed 1st 800 in under 4 mins not too bad but next ones felt a lot tougher. Still I was delighted that I managed to push myself to do 5 reps in total so session consisted of 4 laps warm up 5 x 800m pace/5 x 400m recoveries then 5 more laps at normal pace to take mileage up to 6 miles. Did also manage to do Pilates class before track so happy with today's training.

12 miles planned for Friday - not sure how that will go as haven't done that distance since October.

    Happy running
