taper week

Jun16201011 p.m.

Hi all, i am in the middle of a taper week in prep for the half IM at Wimbleball lake on Sunday.  I am dealing with it a lot better than previous tapers.  I am itching to go out and go hard but i have been very controlled.  I have done a couple of easy pool swims and an easy bike this week.  My swimming has completetly crossed over to Bi-lateral now.  I cant beleive it.  It used to fell so alien, but its becoming 2nd nature already.  I'm loving it.

I have bought a new areo bottle for inbetween my tri bars.  I really could have done with it on Sunday as you can drink through the staw thats right in front of you when down on the tri bars, which also means you drink regularly.  I am not running this week which feels well weird. I am panicing a little that i need to do at least 1 run before Sunday.  Any advice welcome...

i have got friday off to sort all the camping stuff out for the weekend, so only one more day at work.

I have had my tri suit printed up with my name on the back of the legs and "Fatman 2 Ironman" on the bum. in bright yellow letters.  I pick it up tomorrow.  I was thinking of putting something like "cheer 4 me" or "WTF?" on the cak or "help" but cant think of anything that will insantly make the crowd cheer me on.  Any ideas?

  • JSIMMONDS 'Jase. You are a tart. "Make the crows cheer me on", Bloody tart. Anyway, runs. I wouldn't bother running before Sunday mate - don't want any unnecessary mileage in those legs. You've done all the training, now just carbo load and blow 'em away. Good luck buddy.' added 18th Jun 2010
