teeeny weeeny setback

Went out for a 40miler on Saturday then to meet up with the club to do another 40 with them but my knee was so painfull I could only do 15’s. Any faster and I was nearly crying in pain. I limped back to the shop and rung our club physio and she said to stop cycling and go see her. I did. She did many tests and came to the conclusion that my knee cp is slightly off centre, probably from the crash. So to get it to go back I need to massage it deeply behind the knee cap, then ice it. Also I have to go to the gym to strengthen the quad on that side to help pull it into place. I have been looking after it as she said since then including a trip to the gym this morning. Saw loads of old faces doing the same old shit. Boring as hell. Lots of saucy looking girlies though so the view was pleasant. I did my quad exercises and some upper body while I was there. Then after and hour I though I would jump on a spin bike and put some pressure on my knee to see how it’s coming along. It felt great. Might be mended already. I hope so. This is my last full weeks training. I am still positive and absolutely buzzing to getting near the end of this journey. Really stamping on the diet this week. I have 4lbs to lose to get into the 14’s and I am determined to do it now.
