Here cometh the taper!

May0220102:51 p.m.

Have had a good steady week, 6m,10m,6m and 20m - the 20 today went quite well, I arranged for my husband to meet me at the local mere so that I could do my 20 and get in the car without doing - what sometimes seems to be a long drudge home - a lap of the mere is just over 1 mile so I thought it would be a good place to finish.  Hadn't bargained for the geese, who watched me go round once and then decided to attack me on the 2nd loop - full body contact! Did they know I have a bird phobia??? I then switched camp to the road loop to complete the circuits!

Now we have the taper, hallelujah! I have a bit of a sore muscle on my right leg so after the run today I took a cold bath - never tried it before - but Eddie Izzard did them! They are horrible so I sincerely hope they work! I hope it's not going to develop and is just a sore muscle and with taper hopefully it will calm down. I had it after the last 6m so was a bit dubious doing the 20 but it was fine while running it's when I stopped I felt it there again.

So here's to better times, more sleep and a little bit more life!
