jem 'Thanks for the replies Mind games included things like rewarding yourself with a jelly baby after the next mile or making a deal with yourself not to acknowledge the nagging pain in your hip until next water station then ignoring it until next one etc. Just whatever works for you. Everyone who'd run marathon before had different techniqiues, just hope I find mine in time for Blackpool!!' added 19th Feb 2007
