A hard day all round!

Jan0520128:32 p.m.

I missed my run with the club last night, was getting my new mattress and duvet delivered - very exciting in my world! I decided i would do my 'tempo' run at the gym on the treadmill, easy.

It was fine until i realised my training plan is in miles and minutes per mile, the treadmill is in kilometres and kilometres per hour.....i spent half an hour trying to remember school maths to calculate the speed i needed to set the treadmill at, luckily i had a friend to hand to help me out!

I really struggled with the run and am quite disheartened in only week 1...Eeek, Eeeek not a good start. i am hoping it was because i was inside a hot and busy gym where it is far to easy to press PAUSE, at least with the club i know if i stop i get left behind.

On a positive note, my track top arrived today, it a VLM one! with the logo on the front!! so easy, cheered me up no end!

Hopefully i will have a good long (soon to feel short) run on saturday and all will be good with the world...

  • Dungey 'I find running on treadmills in a gym really difficult, cant seem to fathom how they work properly or to convert them, much prefer miles. Do have my own one, which makes things a lot easier. Definitely a positive step to have the VLM top ready to go.' added 6th Jan 2012
