Better news...

Since I get most of my food on campus and keep little here at the apartment, getting "the munchies" hasn't been as much of an issue lately. I don't know if it's a stress thing, or a schoolwork-induced thing, but I still apparently just need to chew on things. My fingernails, for instance, have always been a favorite. I've tried to stop before, but within the past few weeks I've ended up with all short fingernails again.
At least taking the bus to campus won't be so much of a temptation anymore. I had some issues with donating plasma, so I can't donate again for a while, which means that my source of extra income beyond what is used for rent is not going to be there for a while. So, more walking for me simply out of necessity. I just wish that the weather hadn't dropped down into the 40s (fahrenheit) again after being beautiful the past few days. They also suggested doing arm curls so that the plasma donation goes smoother once I can start donating again, so I need to find something around that I can use as weights.
Thankfully, the stress thing may get a little bit more bearable soon. I just got the paperwork from my lawyer- we're now filing for an official injunction against my uncle so that he has to respond to the lawyer's last ruling from December and hand over the money from my mother's estate, as well as my belongings, and account for everything he did while executor, including how he managed to sell my house without my permission. The Student Aid office here is also now working with me again to get me independent student status- the government has some crazy rule that, unless both of your parents are dead, the other one is still your parent as far as student aid applications are concerned, so you have to give them all kinds of proof that that's not the case, or you're completely out of luck for any kind of aid. He's also going to try to get me in-state residency as far as tuition is concerned, which will be a huge help. I have no other house, and, aside from visiting relatives and mooching off of friends and their families, I've been living out of a dorm room and now an apartment for the past two and a half years, so it would just be a nice gesture for them to recognize that fact.
For now, I just need to get that mess taken care of, keep watching what I eat, and figure out how on earth to earn more money aside from that which I get from the job I already have. Oh, and schoolwork. That still needs to get done, too. Man, I don't really drink much, but I really envy those students who can spend their Thursday nights and weekends appearing to do little but drinking and sleeping, with seemingly little else to worry about. I assume that Mommy and Daddy tend to take care of most financial-type things for them, but I often wonder if they take any remotely difficult classes and, if so, when they actually bother studying.
Oooh, and some really good news?!? It may just have been the change in weather and the slightly baggier shirt making it seem such, but my gray corduroys are finally starting to fit again! Having clothes that fit is always a wonderful thing.
