Phuket and Kuala Lumpur

Mar0320082:21 p.m.

Well i've not posted anything for a while because in all honesty there's not been too much to tell. We had a great time in Phuket with Sue and Andy relaxing on the beach and by the pool and eating and drinking far too much. Highlights included going to Rock City in Patong where we saw a Metallica covers band and going to see the Muay Thai on our last night which was cool.

On 1st March we bid an emotional and tearful farewell and flew to Kuala Lumpur. It was hard to leave Sue and Andy behind especially for Danielle but probably slightly easier for the fact it was us going away rather than them leaving us feeling abandoned.

On a happier note Kuala Lumpur is amazing. The people are really cool and its a lot more organised than Bangkok in terms of transport etc. Yesterday we went to see some of the sights - went up the 421m KL tower and up to the skybridge of the Petronas towers the former offering the better views of the city than the latter. Following this we went for some seriously cheap indian street food in 'Little India' near one of the large Mosques that dominate the capital.

Spent last night in our cheapest accommodation yet - a cool hostel with shared bathrooms and no hot water! We're staying on a few more nights because we had such a great time last night getting drunk and staying up til 5am with another guy from the UK, a ld from China, 5 Malaysians, 2 Argentinians and a Muay Thai boxer who is here on holiday running a training camp for kids!

Pictures follow when I find somewhere to upload them....
