early morning gym session
Feb1220108:57 p.m.
Try to get a gym session in once a week, where I work we have a gym and personal trainers are fairly reasonable so I have a PT session once a week - feels truly luxurious!!! I ache for days after. so if aching is a measure of monies worth - I am getting a bargain.
His theory is strong upper body equates to a stronger running so I am being taught to do the olympic lift - not very femine but gives an all over work out.
So for this session the alarm goes off at 5am! (must be mad) have my bag all ready and packed the night before not giving myself the opportunity for any excuse to whimp out! I eventually roll out of bed about 5.45 (need to hit the snooze at least 4 times) throw my gym kit on and drive to work in quick time as there is hardly any traffic - on the cross trainer at 7am!
So a circuit he says squats, deadlifts (with 30kg) on my back, press ups. Then followed by some olympic lifts - well not quite all the way there yet as he breaks it down to build it up - still having difficulty in believing that actually I will (maybe, hopefully) be lifiting this weight from the floor up above my head in a smooth process without the manly grunting that you see on the telly or even at all!
Its really hard this work out session but I really love it, I really feel like I have worked and I feel it in the exercise ache its really good to vary the training and it breaks up the week. So after workout shower and back at my desk eating porridge all before 9! I love training in the morning its worth making that effort to get out of bed for.
Saturday is rest day lay in and generally being at home with the kids whilst hubby is at football - my favouritve day of the week and since being full-time appreciate it even more I have done the shopping on the way home from work so another job done!
Just love the weekend and appreciate it so much when the week has been so heavy and hard at work.
Hope you all have a good weekend
