I've just started running again after the whole of December off due to illness and then the weather. Before I stopped running I was up to a comfy 2-3 miles 4 times a week (had not started putting in any long runs) - I ran for the first time on Friday, then again yesterday and today - 2.5 miles each time. It was actually better than I thought it would be - especially as I am still coughing quite a bit and therefore my lung capacity is probably not up to optimum yet.
This week I am just going to stay on my short 2-3 milers 3 more times, then a 4 miler on Sunday - then my official 14 week programme starts a week today! I'm not aiming to break any records on M-Day - just slow and steady. It took me over 6 hours in 2009 - but, hey, I did it.....
