First run since tripping on the canal

Apr0720117:37 p.m.

Met up with the Bridge Club last night at, wait for it, the Barley Mow carpark for the Basingstoke Canal!  Had I lost my senses?

Quick update on my knee.  Knee's fine, grazes are healing nicely under a hydrocolloid plaster.  It's my shin that's the problem.  It wasn't grazed but was badly bruised causing my lower leg to swell up nicely.  It is now encased in an elastic bandage & the bruises are turning a lovely shade of green.

I was a bit worried about running on it, but it felt fine with no jarring & I was able to run at my normal pace so the route was about 4 miles along the canal, around Tundry Pond & back to the Barley Mow from Broad Oak.  Just what I needed.  Happy that everything is OK & I'm back on track for London.  Last night should have been a threshold run so I'll do that tomorrow instead.

My charity vest finally came - Yeah!  It's orange.

Happy tapering Smile
