Glasgow half marathon - Jaffas r us!

Sep0820087:11 p.m.

The Glasgow Half Marathon was on Sunday and we got a cracking day for it.  The atmosphere in George Square was amazing. Jimmy Saville eas there as always! John and Claire came along to support us which was great and we saw Jenny's mum offering her support in Pollok park so that was really great too.

We did a time of 2hrs 6 mins which is 30secs slower than last year so although I am a bit disappointed with that I have various excuses:

  1. Jenny was nursing a dodgy achilles and a migraine at one point!
  2. The course is definitely more hilly than before!
  3. We are used to running at a slower pace due to Marathon training.

Still we had a brilliant day and used it as a training run.

Thanks too to the little boy giving out jaffa cakes at Eglinton Toll - you sorted out Jenny's migraine.
