Oops, it has been a while.

More than two months to be exact! But I have remembered my password, logged in, cleared my 719 notifications and found the way to my blog! Time to get back into my running and remember another thing life has taught me:

    I hate snakes and ladders!

It isn't exactly a life lesson but it definitely come to mind tonight.

When I was younger I was the annoying little brother that always wanted to play games and always had to win. Anyway, when playing S & L's, do you remember around space 82 (I think?), there was a snake near the end waiting to take you right back to the beginning! I would land on it which usually resulted in me throwing a strop for a few hours...

(Ok, I pretend that I was younger but earlier this year on holiday playing Monopoly with the fiance and a couple of friends, I managed to drag the game out to the early hours of the morning (4am) by refusing to give up on a lost cause. We called it a draw. I do wonder how I managed to get a fiance, or friends for that matter!)

Anywho, to the running. 2 months ago we went to Tuscany for a long weekend to plan our wedding. This was a very tiring experience, and 2 months later I have run a total of 4 times since.. After the epicness of running 7 miles in 59 minutes, I am now back to square one. Bad times!

Tonights run was a good effort; 4 miles at an 8mins 34 secs pace. However whilst running, I had that realisation that again I had hit that snake and gone back to the start when the game is almost over!

Yep, I have just 19 weeks until the marathon.

So, a lot of hard work, preseverance and finger crossing that we get no snow this xmas.

Oh, and remembering my Real Buzz password, just to encourage me along!
