Bloody snow!

Where does the time go?
Last weekend I was in London for the Barnardo's training day at Battersea Park where I met and ran with Daley Thompson. Very charismatic chap and I spent the whole time totally in awe and admiring his very fine physique
The day ended with a run in laps around the park. I buddied up with a lovely lady and we got on like a house on fire and comfortably ran 5.5 miles in around 57 minutes. It was nice to run with someone as I mostly run alone.
Hubby came with me for the weekend and on Saturday night we went out for dinner and watched Chicago and generally just chilled. Was a very nice weekend all told!
This weeks training consisted of 5 miles on Tuesday and again on Thursday which was all I could fit into an extremely hectic shedule. I had planned on 10-11 miles this morning but was greeted with 4 inches of snow when I threw back the curtains. Hence, I closed said curtains and promptly got back in bed. In hindsight, the extra rest will do no harm as have been feeling a little under par these past few days.
Tomorrow I finish work at lunch time so am planning to go to the gym as I can't see that the weather will improve that much and I suspect it will still be rather icy out there... so the dreadmill for a few miles instead me thinks and a bit of cross training.
Roll on the spring!

lisarodgers 'Rob, given my wimpish tendancies in such conditions, I think not - might try out those yaktrax thingies though .... one day! And yes, Johnf, very probably but then Daley is definitely not a wimp! Gotta man up I guess. So I'm doing it today ...... on the dreadmill!! Happy Monday to you both! x' added 6th Feb 2012
