Recap of my disastrous weekend...

Nov0220096:35 p.m.

Friday

Went out for a few after work drinks - 2 1/2 small glasses of white and I was on my way home (I don't even like white wine so I'm really annoyed about this - the pitfalls of other people buying you drinks, you can't very well turn them down!)

Got home and made possibly one of the nicest dinners I've had in a while, I chopped up an aubergine and cooked in a pan with a can of chopped tomatoes and a dash of balsamic and it was divine. Had a side salad with it.

Saturday

Had an early lunch at a restaurant - vegetarian enchiladas (cheese = bad but the kidney beans were a great source of protein) with rice on the side which I barely touched. In the afternoon finally treated myself to some white chocolate with hazelnuts after a few weeks of abstaining.

In the evening, party at a friends house - dinner was take out but I just ordered a salad though I lost track of how many sweets, snacks and glasses of champagne I consumed until 3am!

Sunday

Crawled out of bed at midday and went to the shops. Lunch was some grated carrot, edam slices in baguette, one tomatoa and carrot sticks and houmous. A bit more chocolate during the course of the afternoon.

Dinner was with friends, falafel sandwich and a few chips with a homemade lemonade (oh and a hot wine earlier in the eve) - the kind of food you really crave after a night of booze but which is possibly ten times worse for your body's recovery! Nevermind, we all have our slip-ups, nevertheless it was a fun weekend.

Back on track today:

Monday

Breakfast - glass of fruit juice, porridge with raisins and cranberries (it's so cold outside).

Lunch - Salad of lettuce, crumbled goats cheese, pesto veg, tomatoes and olives.

Mid afternoon - dried papaya and a fruit salad pot.

Dinner - most likely to be veggie soup of some kind - it's soooo cold outside.

I'm going to try and brave a run when I get back if I can handle the cold. If not I'll do the pilates DVD I recently acquired and do a good run tomorrow morning (the more likely option).
