Richard Branson has called my bluff....I'm in VLM 2012
Sep2920113:16 p.m.
This time every year a chap called Dave sends me a nice running jacket.
This year his mate Richard sent me a letter telling me to turn up on April 22nd and run for ever.
Aaaahhhhhh!!!...PANIC.....
Intermittently very excited and scared sh*tless.
Makes Sunday’s half in Basingstoke a mere warm up jog….

AppleSteve 'Congratulations Malcolm, no idea whether you have done LM or any other marathon before, but it is a great experience. I did VLM 2010, and with kids, allotment, and dogs, something had to give, unfortunately it was the allotment, and I'm only just getting it back in shape now. No regrets though. This year I'll have a nice red fleece to wear on the plot to keep me warm. hope you find time for both' added 29th Sep 2011

aphid 'Congratulations - you will love it! I got my thanks but no thanks magazine today from, presumably, Dave. Not too worried as already got my brighton marathon place. We can compare training agonies as we go along! Have you got a training plan?' added 29th Sep 2011

Alaistair 'Not sure why you would be scared? You've settled into long weeks of training in recent months so the schedule for London will be an enjoyable experience if you let be. In some ways training for a marathon is as enjoyable as the race itself. Glad someone actually got a ballot place as was begining to think it was a total fix :o)' added 30th Sep 2011
