peddle peddle peddle

May27200810:23 a.m.

Subconsciously my new fitness regime affected how much I wanted to drink - amazing. Instead of quaffing my weekly allowance in one go, I had one drink on Fri night, one on Sat night, one on Sun night and 3 on Monday night. Astonishing and I feel great for it.

I spent Sat day shopping for wedding outfits - I am not a girl that likes shopping and shopping for wedding things is something I have been putting off for weeks. Anyway, it wasn't as painful as I thought it would be and I came away with 3 dresses. Now one is for a wedding in August and at the moment is unwearable - so an additional incentive to lose a few pounds.

So onto how I plan to lose these extra pounds, I treked off with a friend to Bedgebury Forest hired bikes for a couple of hours. We set off on the bike routes and wideish tracks. By the time we finished 2 and  a half hours later we had off roaded, slid through puddles, got mud everywhere and were going down tracks made for mountain bike pros. And hadn't seen a bike sign for about an hour...

Trying to find these damn signs we had a bit of a Blair Witch moment. Every track we took we ended up in the same place. I then spotted civilisation in the form of a dog poo, and then said dog's owners. They were surprised at our lack of compass, water, waterproofs and any sort of idea, tt turned out we were miles from where we were supposed to be. Lost. Again. But 2 and a half hours of exercise in the outdoors.

Plan to go on a little jog this evening... we'll see...
