Roller Disco
May2120084:55 p.m.
So my fitness regime started in a rather strange place - the roller disco in Vauxhall. I'm not sure if zooming round on skates and then downing coronas counts as the first step in my bid for a better body but my god it was fun! I was on skates from 8.30pm till 2am so it must have done me some good. I only totally wiped out once when my favourite song came on and I tried to pull some moves, so I no injuries to put a stop to my mission (dammit).
Sunday and Monday I spent relaxing after a hectic couple of weeks. So come Tuesday, I got home, up the stairs, put on my trainers, didn't even think about it and I was out of the door and on way to the park. My plan was to run around the pak and be home, I thought I'd be out for about 20 mins. I have just moved house so not familiar with my new park and got lost. After 5 mins of trying to get my bearings and another 5 mins on the phone to a friend trying to navigate me from google maps, I was back on track and finally home an hour later. I certainly didn't run for an hour, but probably covered some distance. Going to check it on map my passion to see how far I went and where I went wrong!
I am busy for the rest of the week so the weekend will be the time for my next activity!

SuperCaz 'Roller discos are good for your core muscles, so I suppose it's a kind of training. I've done the same thing on a run. I once took a wrong turn and ended up running down the High Street on a Saturday night. The people standing outside the pubs must have thought that I was mad, but luckily there was sufficient police presence that I didn't get heckled!' added 21st May 2008

chubby_chick 'Wow! I didn't know roller disco's still existed! How fantastic.......... I sincerely hope all the music was cheesey!! I like a gal who starts a fitness regimen with a crate or two of coronas, keep up the good work but be careful of common sporting injuries such as 'beer bicep' and 'pint glass hand' Lx' added 21st May 2008
