Halfway through the week and 3 training sessions done...
Jun1720099:49 p.m.
After suffering for pretty much the entire day on Sunday (slightly overindulged on Saturday!) I was raring to go on Monday. Left school early (oh yes I'm a teacher by the way) to make sure I got to gym in time for PT session. Did a 45 minute session on upper body and can now do proper press ups and a good number them as well - bingo wings are defo on the way out! Maybe I can wear strapless wedding dress....here's hoping!
Anyway, after gym, got home, cooked some pasta (some for before run and some for after run) ate and then watched the news...later I woke up all disorientated and panicked that I'd missed the run - it was only half an hour later! So got drink ready and walked round to Louise's (she was driving this week) ready for run. Again we joined the 4 mile group (no fast or slow just one group this time) and started running. Felt really good, was much better and faster this week. I kept going as well so my endurance is defo improving. Did a loop with a few hills including Henbury Road up to Blaise castle from end of Crow Lane - fairly steep but not too long hill and I made it! Yeah! Got back to the start feeling pleased with the run but there were murmurings going round that it wasn't quite 4 miles....gutted...some peoples fancy watches were saying closer to 3 miles! But 31 mins so not too bad...I got home and mapped the route and it was almost 3 miles but as I did gym AND run, I didn't feel too bad!
Today went ot gym for PT session and went even better - I am getting better! I know it now! Even though PT has been saying it for a while I haven't really felt it but am defo more supple and able to do heavier weights and more reps.
Next session booked in for Sat 8am on The Downs when PT is going to be bringing some fancy contraption from USA which is often used in military in small spaces such as submarines...bit scary but intrigued!
Bye
