How do buzzers!
OK after my incident in the gym on Monday, I hobbled home past, the chippy (mmmm love the smell of chips), then past the the bakers..mmmmmm....REEEESIIST..and past the physiotherapist....PHYSIOTHERAPIST! How long's that been there?
Oh.ok,long and short of. had an appointment with the physio..and boy was he good. Ok aparantlyI have a grade 1 tear in the bit of the calf where the achilles changes to the two large muscles, gastroc...and soleus.
And BOY he must have THE most powerful thumbs in the wholewide world. Cos it sure hurt when he found the source of pain. He had said I can arry on training, no running for a least two weeks, maybe more, but x trainer, rower, stepper, maybe bike, shold be ok,
So I sorta knew I should've been resting it, but I needed to be told, and being as I hadn't a hope in hell of getting to the docs this side of armageddon, then I opted to pay.
So I had untrasound treatment. At least I think I did as I couldn't feel anything! I am wering a lovely tubular bandage thungy. And, I've come away in the knowledge that a grade 1 tear is the least painful...ergo ...I am a wimp. I accept.

emmteeyess 'If your like the rest of us - he'd have to put the tube round both legs at once to stop us training - and even then I'm sure we'd invent a new activity like an (Egyptian) mummy in a sack race. Thing is - can you still get to the chippe and the bakers??? Cheers, MTS' added 17th Jul 2010
