I had Chips okaaay!

Jun02201011:51 p.m.

So lets just get a few things uot of the way.

I'm gonna swear...Half Term.

BUT hot sunny sunny weather..really fab for Half Term.  And I know that poor Skkye Trekker will probably have been on half term for at least two weeks more than my clan, so my heart goes out to her, poor thing!

So, a little life catchy uppy.

Saturday I took the two youngest to see Nanny Mcphee.  The Odeon runs a kida club where the tickets are 2.50 per child and every child can get an adult in for free..ace, so family of three in for a fiver, ace.  I'm not ashamed to admit I cried, luaghed plenty too at the pigs synchronised swimming.  Don't usually enjoy thjose types of films, but this one I can recommend.  As it was raining when we came out we did anohter cheap as chips keep the kids happy and took them to one of the garden centres to look at the tropical fish.  Again, anther good hour and a half...we'll be asked to leave next time for loitering I'm sure.

St Fagans was visited again on Sunday, there really is too much to see in one day.  The children were also ona promise of going to Barry Island on the pleasure beach..BUT, thay played up good an proper and being the victorian mum that i am, I brought in the consequences, turning me from victorian Mum to plain old worse mum in the world.

Monday as said 5 miles in 50 minutes.

Tuesday, rowing machine for 40 minutes up and down the levels..very sweaty very ace, all done at my parents house as they provided the necessary childcare needed during the school hols.

Today, now then, walked to the swimming pool with my two youngest, had a suerb time there, for once due to the hot weather I was able to walk the corridor of suburbia(that should be Serbia!..tho?)  in relative comnfort..you know every pool's got one, where the teperature drops enough for body parts to drop off.  Played a great game of tick with my kids and actually the more we played the more all the rest of the kids in there joined in, just like kids used to, ya know, before we all got too suspicious of each other..or too numbed by playstations and computers to play something as dull as tick (or tag).  It was a mini workout.  After we had the obligatory chips and then they went and played on the swings in the park.  We then walked home, and one thing led to another, mainly the sun bing the main culprit, I have pink shoulders and face now, and my run was not going to happen in those temperatures.  So by the time tea was done (tuna pasta mayonaise onion sweetcorn combi)  8pm had come around and I went out,  the sun had dipped but boy it was still warm,  I did what was known in the trade as a tempo run,.  5 mins warm up, 2.5 miles at speed up three nasty hills, waving to a neighbour in my euphoria who I later realised I did not know at all and quickly withdrew my spat out curse when they hadn't waved back, and then 5 mins cool off.  Good! Am pleased with that.  However, ate a little too much today and regretted it during running.  No hurling though.

So happy days.

Oh, blster has been treated to white spirits, and I put on my old favourite Brooks Vapor 7's..they are a little less spongey but fit like a glove..does anyone know what their new name is, ie what Brooks have reinvented them as ?  Would appreciate it if any one could help

Then thought I really should tell my mum I couldn't see and needed glasses, and maybe they weren't actually who I thought they were lol. And don't worry, I'm the worst mum in the world too today. My two like the wii, but they self regulate it to a few races and then go off and do something else as they get bored, so I don't mind. They cheekily played an extra race last night after I sent them to bed, so it's a no wii day today :)' added 3rd Jun 2010
