Has my one and only good run come a week too early?

Apr1620109 p.m.

Once again and for the final time I was not looking forward to my long run of the week. I was scheduled to do 10 miles and headed out first thing in the sun and the slight wind. I decided not to try and beat any records and to deliberately take it nice and slow and try and enjoy the run. IT WORKED! I can say (and I cant believe that I am ) that I actually ENJOYED it!I felt really good, not at all tired and could have gone on for 100 more miles - well probably not but it felt good!

Now I am concerned that I have peeked too early and if Ive just had a good run then my next (the day itself) will probablybe bad!

I still dont think I am ready!!! However Ive done 496 training miles, burnt 85,716 calories, (and not lost any weight) had bad runs, had horrid runs, had bowel issues, ran in freezing cold, ran in thick snow, ran in ice, ran in hot sun (well quite hot sun!)ran ran and ran - SO I'M AS READY AS I'M EVER GOING TO BE!!!

  • SmudgerSJA 'Well done I bet you feel very proud of yourself - we have spent some months training for next Sunday haven't we... You will be even more chuffed with yourself next sunday when you are the proud owner of the "30" medal... well done... I also went for a run last night and even though it was a gentle run I found I did it in a quicker time than I normally would maybe I just don't understand the wordings of "Gentle run!" but it felt good.. think my body is slowly restoring the energy we have depleted over recent weeks with really long distances covered.. Catch you soon Smudger' added 17th Apr 2010
