So why do I get a big blister now?!?!?
Apr13201011:20 p.m.
Two days and two runs! Both of which I wasnt looking forward toand both of which I didnt enoy, even though they were only 5 miles. Nothing to really report other than I came back tonight and felt one of my toes was a little painful. On closer inspection I have a big blister on it!! Why have I done 430 odd miles training with no issues regarding blisters until now and I go out and do a little run and get a big painful one.
Still feeling concerned for 12 days time! Have I lost my fitness? wasnt a good run tonight (and that was only five miles!) Wish the day would hurry up and I can get it over and done with and find that peg to hang my running shoes on for good!

Jenny1961 'Better to discover the blisters now. It could be your shoes are wearing or socks are getting thinner or something. Just make sure you put plenty of plasters on the dodgy bits on the day for prevention! ' added 13th Apr 2010

frans 'now you soooooo know that you will want to go for a run a few days after you have successfully run the London marathon !!!!! I finding that the head battles are as real as the running ones , Ive been on the bench for a week after hurting real bad after my last long run , big nasty blisters as well. advice I was give was rest and more rest. You have done enough ! fran ' added 14th Apr 2010
