New PB

Hi All
Well its been a while since I last posted but I must admit I do sneak the odd half hour on here and have a read on how everyone is getting on. I'm still running, usually 4 times a week and an average of 20 miles a week which I find strikes the right balance following the extreme levels of training I did prior to the marathon.
Last night I had my first race since London at the Yateley 10k. Its a running series organised by the Sandhurst Jogging club and the event is so well organised it really does put some other events I have run in the past to shame. Now as I have already mentioned I have been running pretty frequently and I have really focused on running shorter distances much faster and last night my reward for all my training since London was a new PB of 47 mins 59 secs, a whole 4 minutes of my previous best and 11 minutes faster than last years time. To say I feel ecstatic would be an understatement, infact it almost feels better than completing the marathon which felt like a bit of an anti climax.
Next month I have a trail HM at Hawley Lake booked, I did the 10k there last year and it was really tough so this will be a real test. I also have another 10k in October where I hope to beat last nights time, and then I should know if I have a marathon to train for when the ballot results are announced, if I dont get in I have a few other challenges planned to tide me over the winter months.
Hope you are all running well!!
