Sunshine, magical vest and......

I ran I tell you I ran!!!!! 3 whole glorious miles!!!! Ok so not possibly where I should be at this stage BUT..... after last Thursdays attempt and my woeful post last week I am OVER THE MOON!!! I decided in for a penny in for a pound and put on my Action for Children vest and started my brisk walk warm up routine. The plan was 3 slow miles to see how the knee, hamstring were doing. Last few days there has been much improvment everyday as I've continued with my patience, stretches and cycling and it seems it's paid of today!
It all felt a bit alien as I started to run (it's not like I've had that long off!) and I was desperately trying to concentrate on my music as opposed to me knee or garmin. It took about a mile for me to warm up.... only the slightest twinge felt in my hamstring but I got stronger with each minute!!! It all felt very slow but turns out I averaged 10.07 which is about where I am anyway. Have stretched and iced as a precaution and crossing my fingers nothing flares up tomorrow.
I still have second opinion physio booked for Tuesday (although feeling now like I prob don't need to see him) but I am going anyway!!! My Dad has very kindly donated some spondoolies to the physio fund!! (his words were.... if David Beckahm can go to Switzerland and see someone surely there must be something you can do??? Oh, I don't mean I'm paying for flights though!!)
So all in all this week clocks up as 37 miles on my bike and 3.7 running miles (the .7 being teh rubbish attempt that made me cry like a baby!!).
Am feeling MUCH happier and totally inspired by the sunshine and all the Sports Relief, Eddie Izzard programs I've been watching this weekend!
Now to plan how to get to 26.2 miles..........xx
