Well after my disastrous swim on Monday we headed out tonight to complete last real swim before the race. First thing I did was ensure i ate, so there we were standing chittering at the waters edge and this was before we got in.
The girls set of and I followed about 30 seconds later felt good and passed the girls before we got to the half way marker, completed the half mile in 16:47 my best swim to date.
Earlier in the day I completed a fartlek session on the treadmill this was made up of a 6 minute wup, followed by 2 min run 2 min walk x 6. The runs started at 6.5mph increasing by 0.1 on every set so climaking at 7mph, my walks were done at 4mph and all on a gradient off 2degrees.
So to sum it up a good days training for me especially after Monday, oops nearly forgot I did a 4 mile run after work last night.
