GETTING THERE

Haha I have been given my race number 39336 for the London Marathon how mad is that, I never thought in my wildest dreams I would ever be saying that!!
Those of you who know me know me know that this is not really me, BUT I have been working really hard and must admit to find it challenging and tough at times BUT I am getting there. I have been sticking to the schedule and doing four runs a week and last week trotted a total of 34 miles with the long run being 16 miles, the third time I have done this distance BUT the first time I managed to do it without stopping, must admit to giving out a little scream of achievement at the end. I can actually see me finishing this now. The long run this weekend is a staggering 18 miles the longest distance I will do before the big day.
I had to change the trainers and have been introduced to the not so nice world of blistersL, less said about these b******s the better.
Well the good news is that I have lost over a stone in weight; I don’t think I have been this weight since my teenage years!!!!!
As always a massive thank you if you have sponsored me it really is appreciated, and if you haven’t done so yet, please do. It for a great charity and having visited Stoke Mandeville hospital many times in the past I know firsthand how important the work that Spinal Research do.
Take care
Pete
