WHAT HAVE I DONE??
Apr2320101 p.m.
While most people are overjoyed with the fact that this weekend looks set to be a scorcher and are planning their BBQ's and beers I am being a real Grinch and am utterly miserable by the possible 25 degrees on Sunday. I'm about to spend yet more money on the Marathon and invest in some P20 so that my freckly skin doesn't turn into red skin.
It's been a long time since I wrote a post and so thought as it approached the final weekend I should probably update. I have reached my charity target and blasted through it and realised I have absolutely AMAZING friends. For that THANK YOU!
I have my number 42512, my vest with HORTERS emblazoned across it and my all important supporters. I have my music planned, then the Villa match at 12. Let's pray for a Villa win so I keep motivated!
This is possibly the most nervous I have ever been in my entire life and not sure what would match it - maybe child birth (but that ain't happening for a looooong time). I used to get scared before Sports Day but this is an entirely different matter - I didn't have loads of friends coming out especially to watch me, parents travelling down, family watching out for me on TV and a £1,750 price tag on my head. I also suddenly feel very unprepared and wish I had stopped drinking after Christmas and not stayed in bed on some of those Sundays when I should be running - damn you HORTERS.
I just want to wish everyone the best of luck on Sunday. I hope everyone makes it and enjoys it. I'm sure it will be an absolutely awesome experience once the nerves have calmed and I'm into mile 3.....and focusing on the party afterwards!
GOOD LUCK, KEEP SMILING AND HAPPY RUNNING
