Me? A wuss?

Mar08201012:50 a.m.

I'll show ya!

Saturday - as you probably know I spent most of Saturday curled up on the settee with the mother of all hangovers and a stinking cold to boot. Couldn't get warm, my neck and shoulder ached, my throat was sore and I did wimp out of my 5 mile run that day. Things did not really improve but Pompeys resultl made it a little more bearable.

Sunday - woke up with no voice. I actually didn't feel too bad but being voicelss makes life a little more difficult, especially when the dog decides that as I am not calling him he can do whatever he bloody well pleases! Git. I did toy with the idea of pulling out of my game in the afternoon but after a hot shower my voice came back (very husky though) so I decided to try and referee. The game went well, I covered 4½ miles and was OK with that, in fact so OK that I fancied a run later that day. In the end I decided on a bike ride so I took the dog with me and made the poor thing run 10 miles. That will teach him to run off in the morning.

Ill - got in after that and started shivering, by 7pm I was freezing despite sitting under a duvet. By 9:30 I was in bed, still shivering away and getting on Mrs K nerves. I woke at 2am shivering, I woke at 5am shivering, I am still bloody cold now and feel like a piece you know what. Headache, runny nose, cough, sore throat, oh, no voice again, aches and pains and, to top it all, my desktop has gone FUBAR so I am on the laptop now. I hate these things, the buttons are so small and close together.

Anyway, the wuss in me did get out yesterday (Cotton!) for a bit of exercise but I think it has killed me.

Never ever give up
