Wot a lot...

...I did today.
10am - refereed Mitchels final football match of the season. His team (Meon Milton) had to win to be Champions, the other team (Gosport Falcons) only needed a draw and then to win their final game to take the title. First half was a cracking game of U10s' football that ended 0-0 with both teams going close to scoring. Second half Mitchels team were awarded a penalty (OK, I was ref but it was a pen) after 10 minutes which was duly converted, then a break with only 5 minutes left saw them go 2-0 up. And that is how it stayed. One proud Dad, and I covered 2 miles in 40 minutes of U10's fotoball!
11:30am - I am secretary for a Sunday League side but I never get to watch them as I am always with Mitch. Today I managed to get to their game just before half time to find they only had 10 players! I am too old to play anymore but I ran the line in the second half so got another 45 minutes running, and sprinting under my belt. Probably covered well over a mile.
2pm - refereed a mens league match. Good game, home side 3-0 up after 55 minutes, game won so they took off their best midfielder. Harsh lesson as they then lost 5-3. I did 4.36 miles of intervals.
Summary - today I have ran over 7 miles of intervals. And I feel OK. Maybe that is a sign of a little fitness creeping in?
Never ever give up
